The question is simple: What is your favorite sound? Out of all sounds that exist, what sound pleases your ear-holes the most? Personally, I enjoy scraping sounds, e.g. scraping old paint off of surfaces, or taking a sample and running a mouse up and down the piano-roll rapidly, creating a texture. What about you?

I think a purring cat has to be one of the most smoothing things to hear.
Wave-folding in synthesis is really cool too!

Heavy machinery, but at a distance or behind walls, where you can just hear the rumble.

Clicking sound effect from the game "Clue: Murder at Boddy Mansion"; feels super nostalgic!
That or the sound of a snail, eating.

For me it's the sound of rain.

Hard to decide !
I hesitate between a rainstorm with thunder, many crickets during the night in one of the South-Asian countries, or the song of a blackbird.
But honestly, I think I like to hear so many things ! wink

Wishing you all the best !

I prefer to hear distant landscapes and waters. Sound recordings of peace and quiet.

Here are my own sound recordings to illustrate my preferences;

Hard to get, but wonderful to capture.

To hear, you first have to listen

Wonderful to hear, very relaxing !
In fact, I think my favourite sound may also depend to my mood.
As same as music...

Wishing you all the best !
