Hello.

I was exploring the new UI and some of my sounds, in the "manage sounds" mode.
I realised I'm not sure about the title of some of my sounds.

And it stuck me that what would be cool, is options on a per sound basis, to allow the community to edit the title, tags, and description of a sound.

I think that would help the community find sounds more easily by having appropriate tags on some sounds, and filtering out the misused ones.

Just like a few months ago I was searching "Bread cooling" for the sounds it makes, and sadly didn't find any when the sounds existed under "bread crackling". There's probably a few ways a person could describe and look for sounds.

Cheers smile

That would be an opportunity for spam & vandalism.

Can suggest tags or other changes to the sound's description in the comments.
e.g. kevp888 commented that what I thought was a chair was a mic-stand being moved
https://freesound.org/people/Timbre/sounds/692909/#comments
then I changed the title & tags of the file accordingly.

Timbre is right.

Besides, full control must remain with the author, subject to moderation.

A comment or DM suggestion is polite - and may even start a dialogue leading to new friendships.
