I don't normally reckon on announcing my new uploads here, but today I've uploaded the results of a fun experiment, which arose from my uploading yesterday a quite haunting half-speed version of a recording of a most unusual wind chimes ensemble hung up over the Teign Gorge — https://freesound.org/people/Philip_Goddard/sounds/700669/ , and I'd like to draw some attention to it.

I noticed that this particular half-speed version, unlike all the others I've done, had almost no noticeable background noise, so at once I thought it would be fun to see what the results would be if I placed the recorded half-speed ensemble in different positions in a virtual cathedral. The results are now in this pack: https://freesound.org/people/Philip_Goddard/packs/39136/ . Note that the order of the listing of four items is counter-intuitive, as it makes sense to start with the closest, which is at the bottom of the list. — Best to listen to the unadulterated version first (the first link above).

Have fun! smile

A steep* high-pass filter at 200Hz (*48db/octave) removes the rumble from the half-speed versions.
