I just put new sounds made with Reason Europa and Grain up at freesound.org.
Free. Keynote embedded in files, just load into an NN-XT or sampler and hit “automap”
Enjoy!

2 New Waterphone multisamples at Freesound! Waterphone samples are usually tone clusters. Tom McLaughlin isolated a portion of Creative Commons waterphone samples with a steady pitch (14310__kostasvomvolos__waterphone-1, 14311__kostasvomvolos__waterphone-2 ), tuned them, made granular synthesis copies using Reason Europa and Grain softsynths at pitches spanning the keyboard and looped them to play indefinitely. A single sample is now an instrument that can be played in any key. Warning: Extremely piercing in upper registers!

Double Fuzz Electric Guitar D3-SD-GTR-SYN-SW-TMc Synthesized using Reason Europa softsynth Karplus-Strong algorithm & Pulse-Width-Mod wave through Scream 4, Pulverizer Distortion, Soft Tube Amp Simulation with a touch of studio ambiance and processed through Audacity Fuzz Box Distortion preset. One of several variations on this original Europa patch. Synthesized electric guitar sounds inspired by listening to Walter Becker’s outstanding electric guitar on Steely Dan songs, hence the SD in the name.

enjoy!

Awesome! Good waterphone samples are hard to come by.
I sample a lot of rare gongs and stuff. You might find something in my profile worth making a multisampled instrument out of.

strangehorizon - thanks! funny you should mention your gong samples .... I found them, all are good - some are GORGEOUS! I've been working on making multisamples of them. Made mixes of multiple samples of the same gong, and that adds a depth and richness that makes them sound 'produced', like tracking a vocal multiple times makes it sound like one big voice, a natural chorusing effect. For some reason, metal sounds with a definite pitch attract my ears for sampling/wavetabling/granulating. Lemme see if any are finished and I'll put them up on Freesound. the main problem for me is the time it takes to upload Sound Packs with like 38 samples. on my old computer and slow WIFI connection that takes me close to 1 hour! been working with Freesound admin on bulk uploads, but their spreadsheet system for that takes me even more time!! LOL do you have a sampler? if so, private message me an email and I'll send a link to metal, bell and gong multisamples I've made. smile

I don't have Kontakt or anything like that, no... I use shortcircuit VSTi when I want to play something melodically, and any other time I just drag samples into the DAW.

Most of my gong samples involve hits with different implements, hits of different areas, or different articulations, so indiscriminately blending the samples will result in impossible sounds. These tend to be GOOD sounds, but if the objective is to make accurate velocity layers, either we'd have to make a LOT more samples or we'd have to make prepared versions of each by humanizing the amplitude envelope, rolling off the treble, using drum triggering/transient replacement, etc.

Having uploaded about 2500 sounds since the beginning of the year, I know well how tedious it can be to fill out those forms.

You could try this https://github.com/P-D-E/Bulker and see if it helps you creating the CSV
