This takes a long time to download all the individual files over the web (15.8 MB) in all, but illustrates real time improvisation with JavaScript.

It oughta work in relatively new versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape, though for some reason Opera doesn't like the scripts.

It uses the indian music percussion tablas -- Sample Pack 117: Tabla 126 bpm by RHumphries.

It works just fine on high speed internet connections, I don't know if it is robust enough though for dial-up. Here is the URL:

COOL! It runs without problems in Firefox 1.0.6, but not in Mozilla Navigator 1.6 (???)
