Just to inform you. No hurry.

Maybe you already know.
(My) New sounds are not processed the last days. Normally it takes a few minutes to do my white listed sounds, bu now there seems to be a problem in the system.

Hey guys. I'm aware that there's an issue currently. I've tried to get in touch with Frederic via email but I haven't heard anything. I suspect he's on a little vacation. Not sure.

Maybe the problem is still there??
After uploading and describing the sound the system gives the following text;

Server Error
Ouch.. we screwed something up! You found some part of Freesound that's broken.
Luckily, we'll get an email about it and we'll try to fix it as soon as possible. In the meantime, try some other parts of website we haven't managed to break yet ( that is the same text as the first time).

When I look at the page it says ( https://freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/sounds/581343/ );

Be advised, this file has not been moderated yet. Be advised, this file has not been processed yet. And My uploaded text is gone. (the system says: Uploaded on July 27, 2021, 7:09 a.m)

Hi everyone,

There's been some slowness in Freesound which sometimes ends up with the "server error" problem, but this should be unrelated with the processing issues of past days. I only saw one sound pending processing (klankbeeld's one) and it was just reprocessed.

We think the last slowness is due to some experiments we made to optimize resources which did not turn out well. Remember that we're constantly trying new things since we moved to the new infrastructure which so far is working much much better but still there are many issues we need to keep on fixing (and learning!!).

Hi,

I’ve found the issue. This is something particular to your user because for some reason you have two packs named the same and this is breaking the describe process. It should not be allowed to have two packs named the same, but I guess for some error in the past the system allowed you to do so (or because of some internal bug two packs were created with the same name without you being aware).

Now I’ve deleted one of the packs (the one which was empty, the other had 3 sounds) so you should not be seeing this problem again. You’ll need to add metadata again for the sounds that failed. Sorry about that!

Deleted the old sound and re-uploaded it and it's all good.
