After several days of waiting, today I reeived something like this:

(...)

These are awesome sounds, but before I can approve them, could you possibly update the descriptions with a little more detail? Anything such as how it was created/any recorder used/any software used/date/location (e.g. similar to the info you wrote in some of your past uploads).
Once you have done this for each of your pending uploads, I will be more than happy to approve them.
Many thanks!

I don't think this is appropriate. I use bulk description, and I don't have time for detals right now. I don't agree to be treated like that. Descriptions go as follows (example):

name: 2019-05-17 crickets birds1 3o
tags: ambiance birds crickets field-recording
descriptions: 3 octaves down
pack: World of Octaves - Świat Oktaw

Hello ayamahambho

Thank you for your feedback, and for your sound contributions to Freesound so far.

The moderators are here to help you and all the users of this community.
Like yourself, they are sound contributors. And in addition to having been contributors to Freesound for many years, the moderators devote some of their time, for free, to check the sounds that are uploaded (this means going through tens of thousands of sounds each year).

Mostly we help users with what is OK or not OK in terms of copyright, and try to make sure that there aren't sounds in Freesound that violate any copyright.
But there are also other points the moderators pay attention to. In this case, the moderator has commented that the sound tags and descriptions could be improved.
In short: the better the descriptions and tags, the more likely it is that the sounds will be found when people search the database.

I understand your point about using bulk descriptions.

But let me submit back two points for your consideration.

1) It would have been preferable to reply directly back to the moderator and have resolved this amicably between the two of you. I see no reason why this could not have been done, as the moderator has been very clear and polite in his request, and your position is a perfectly reasonable one.

2) Something to consider (maybe for future uploads?). Keep the summary descriptions and tags on your sounds as you have now, include a sentence to say "see pack description for details" and add any additional relevant details to the pack description. For example "Experimenting with field recordings played back at different speeds. Original recordings made with a Zoom H1."

Hopefully this resolves the matter in an amicable way.

I want to believe.

This doesn't help too much.

Moderator asks me to update descriptions or will not approve files. As you can see on the example template - description already tells what the files are about, and I have nothing more to say. I will not go through 60+ files manually only to satisfy someones desire to know more "or else". There are already other issues with freesound, like failed uploads I experienced several times (keeping things below 1GB limit).

I will NOT provide information equipment, location, date (but the date is already in sound names), processes/software I use to transform sounds - unless I find it necessary or context relevant (besides for such conversations, there is forum and PM system). I decide what to write about sounds. If there is no other info, maybe it is on purpose, and I don't think I need to explain that.

If this is going to be not resolved or will happen again, I simply will ask to remove all of my contributions and delete all my activities here, and that will be it.

And - yes, I wrote back to moderator. Informing him that I will add nothing more, and that I'm posting his request on the forum, because I find it inappropriate in this particular context.

As I said "Hopefully this resolves the matter in an amicable way."
But you seem to be on a different mood to that.

We have been very polite dealing with you, as we are with all users at all times.
Your post below comes across as very aggressive. Threatening, even.

If you have experienced technical issues, you can certainly report those and the admins will look into it.

Now... if you are not happy at Freesound, you are free to leave at any time. - That seems preferable to being rude to the moderators, or anyone else on this site.

I want to believe.

I'm just setting clear boundaries. I feel opressed. That's all. BTW, recently I don't use english that regularly.

OK. Slight misunderstanding.

Lets try and keep amicable and in good faith.

I will PM you.

I want to believe.
