Ability to include SAMPLER PROGRAM FILES in samplepacks

Hi all,
Soft samplers such as Halion and Kontakt use wavs nativly and only need a small program file to associate with the samples. If we could include this file in samplepacks it would make it much easier to use multisamples that are downloaded from freesound as you would not have to map all the samples to the keys in a soft sampler. The way I see it now it is almost pointless to upload multisamples of instruments because so much work is involved for anybody wanting to download them to get them into a useable form. If the fxb or nki file or whatever could be included in a multisample pack, all the user would have to do would be to put everything in a folder so the soft-sampler could see it and Viola, instant patches. Does anybody agree?
Agree 100%. I donno why i could upload in separate folders when the samples don't seem to be related in sub-packs now, when they are available. I also had a hell of a problem making tags and descriptions for 88 little synthesized 'chirps'. It would be a lot easier to tag and describe a samplepack and let all the sounds 'tree' from that, with descriptive filenames to guide the browsers looking for sounds.

you can add samples to a samplepack a the first stageof describing them. See the "Sample pack.." part when you select files for describing.
you still have to type different descriptions because we want to stop people from uploading lot's of files and describe all of them the same. it defeats the nature of "descriptions".
the softsynth files have little to do with this...

don't you use cool edit acclivity? that pretty much does half the job of a soft sampler the way I see it. editing all your samples using cool edit then importing into a free tracker program (which wouldn't even require a keyboard) assign the sounds to the pc keyboard. or am I (again) reading this wrong? are you looking to composition? or pc tools to record & manipulate your audio? both? isnt that soft sampling? ARGHH....other than the usual software, which isn't cheap..(but then again, some "all in one" packages do hover around the £50 mark. i wouldn't know of another method for free. 
great to see this subject bumped though.... A while back I spent an evening assigning the simondsouza saxophone pack to a Reason nn-tx module (.sxt). took ages, but I now have a great saxophone instrument for Reason.I don't know how many Reason users are on freesound, but wouldn't it be a great repository... upload the relevant soft synth / samp mods which link into the sample packs..... AND they're usually small files. I'd upload them to my site but I doubt anyone would find em. I guess this is a cry to develop the composition aspect of freesound (what happened to the new preview / composition tool?) I know, I know.....you're a busy man bram
There's so many different paths for this project and I guess only one or two will be taken.

I think it's a good idea, harri. I don't use "real" sampled instruments a lot, but it's truly a pain if you have to remap a complete sample pack on the keyboard. Maybe there could be a "sampler-ready" tag for those sounds, or something like that...
acclivity, there is a free soft-sampler bundled in every Computer Music Magazine issue. It's a Pc and Mac VST plugin. Little buggy, but may be useful. And this month it includes Bram's interview! A must-have! 
also look at kvr's plugin index (http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php), there's a lot of stuff, specially if you're on windows...
