Bulldozer and chainsaws in the mangrove. (Take 1)
I made this recording from the side of a small road bordering a mangrove, in Tacligan (San teodoro, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines).
One can hear a bulldozer working (probably in order to build a resort or something like that), while chainsaws are cutting trees in the mangrove.
In the background, some breeze in the trees, a small water stream, some birds, and distant voices.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H5studio (built-in XY microphones).
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.

Unrelenting unforgiving progress.
Sounds really cool.
But at a price.
Nice shot.
5 squeaks.

@klankbeeld, Thanks !
But I regret that the mangrove, which is an amazing ecosystem, is destroyed...

Creaking, groaning, squeaking and clanking, the bulldozer makes its way through the swamp.
What a magnificent recording.
